Here’s a second serving for the cheapskate in you. Part one, here.
Ever Bilena Advance Studio Finish Stick Foundation
Back in college, we were required to sell this as part of our sales course. I became my own customer in order to pass a course whose sole requirement is to sell tocino and Ever Bilena cosmetics from Fani Serrano to F21. It took some time and convincing to find the right shade. As per usual, we gravitate towards espasol white. But just like marriage, once you find the right one… then it’s a bond hard to break. My shade is beige for contour and a touch of crème for highlight.
Tip: It might get a bit shiny as end of day approaches. So powder after application or blot every so often. Helller! How can you complain for less than P170 a pop (3 USD)? Likewise, the seal is a bit lose at times so store properly to avoid make-up mess due to spillage AKA make-up orgy.
Any help where I can get the Soleil shade? I thought beige was the Binayest shade of their product line, di pala.
Citrobelle Antiseptic and Astringent by Oro Laboratories
The love for the old, classic, and lola-looking packaging is always a liking. The maker of Marietha’s Gugo (a thickening hair shampoo) also makes this astringent AKA toner, which is ideal for post cleansing. Remember, the quadratic equation for a satisfied skin; Cleanse+tone+medicate,+moisturize, and Citrobelle can be considered a demi-goddess for toning.
Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay
I’ve been a follower of Michelle Phan before her chin augmentation. I’m a believer way before her branded YouTube videos and EM Cosmetics. One of her posts suggested Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay made of Bentonite, some sort of a kryptonite for oiliness. To my surprise, it’s now available here at Healthy Options, reasonably priced at around 400 bucks too!
Tip: Use it with Apple Cider Vinegar and/or Salicylic Acid. Feel it pulsate as it draws out the oiliness in you.
A staple in the kitchen, this oil has also been proven effective to keep Baby Arenas and Imelda Cojuangco’s hair thick and nourished despite being in their ballroom dancing and mahjong phase. Get that kapal ng mukha thickness for your hair with this miracle oil. A weekly use with the steamer is a good maintenance to keep your hair in its prime.
Caution: This will not make your face youthful. Please don’t apply on face.
I’ll share you a secret only cheap people know. Mario Badescu’s Drying Lotion is made of Salicylic Acid. There’s even a DIY instructions here. This potent stuff can also soften callouses as well. Readily available in Mercury Drugs for a very, very, very cheap price. Mix it with 3 parts alcohol and 1 part acid, place in an atomizer and use for bacne.
Bench Fix Styling Stick
Bench is like a Pinoy movie. A bit jeje on the side, but it works. Don’t get me wrong, I love their colognes and waxes. The Bench Styling Stick used to be big and thick back in 2004, and just like male menopause, it’s now hard to find. However, if you want a less expensive Schwarzkopf Osis stick then this styling stick is your answer. I get mine at Unimart hair aisle number 4. It’s smaller and thinner this time around. Nevertheless, 2004 hair again.
